You’ll wait comfortably in the office. Once the machine finishes, the dentist will place the crown on your tooth and fix it in place with dental cement. The whole process takes two to four hours in one visit.

Veneers are also made of porcelain. They’re like a miniature crown or an artificial fingernail. You may get veneers if the structure of your tooth is strong, but your tooth is discolored or has a small chip. To apply a porcelain veneer, your dentist will also need to remove a little enamel from the tooth. Your dentist will take impressions of your teeth or do a 3D scan if it’s a same day procedure. A veneer is also fixed in place with dental cement.
